Gary Becker has a vision for God's local church to be a ministry of
compassion and commission. The compassion is to "love the Lord and
His people." The commission is "to communicate the truth of God and
to reach people for God." A vision he has for David's Church is seeing the church reflect the character King David. The Bible refers to David as the "man after God's own heart." "Seeking to be a church with a heart for God, His Word, His people, and His world" has become the theme of the church. |

Prior to coming to David's Church, Gary Becker had over twenty-five
years of experience in pastoral ministry. He also founded
Biblically
Balanced Ministries, Inc., which is a consulting and conference ministry
"equipping believers, families and churches to live and minister biblically
balanced." The balance in ministry is reflected in his vision of "compassion
and commission." Sensitivity to people who are seeking to know God without
compromise of God's truth is part of this balance. |
